Climate Change Letter

We may ALL be affected by global climate change…either now or in the long term. For this reason, it is important to reach out to our elected officials and voice our concerns.

Using what you have learned in this unit, write a letter to your local government about your concerns for climate change and what citizens can do to help minimize its effects.

Your letter needs to be 2 paragraphs and include the following:

Paragraph 1:

  • What is climate change and what are the possible effects on your community?
  • Why is this topic important to you?

Paragraph 2:

  • What are 2 solutions that will help reduce climate change in your community? Make sure to explain their benefits and outcomes.
