Florida Nurses Association (FNA) Advocacy. The goal of this assignment is to actively engage students in the real-world application of healthcare policy advocacy by attending a Florida Nurses Association (FNA) or or any nursing association meeting regarding advocacy as part of the course requirement in this course. This hands-on experience will provide students with insights into the legislative process, foster networking with industry professionals, and contribute to their understanding of healthcare policy shaping.

  • Complete the registration process for the FNA or any nursing association. Provide confirmation of your attendance of meeting or webinar (certificate).
  • Submit a comprehensive report summarizing your participation in FNA or any nursing association’s meeting or webinar. Include key takeaways, successful networking encounters, challenges faced, and how the experience has enhanced your understanding of healthcare policy advocacy.

Submission Instructions:

  • The paper is to be clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation and misspelling.
  • The paper should be formatted per current APA and 3 pages in length, excluding the title, abstract and references page. One page will include proof of confirmation of attendance. Incorporate a minimum of 3 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles or primary legal sources (statutes, court opinions) within your work.
  • Complete and submit the assignment by 11:59 PM ET on Sunday.
  • Late work policies, expectations regarding proper citations, acceptable means of responding to peer feedback, and other expectations are at the discretion of the instructor.
  • You can expect feedback from the instructor within 48 to 72 hours from the Sunday due date.
